Reset it after the service

If someone other than a dealer does the work, reset the display yourself. If it isn't reset, the system shows incorrect maintenance intervals, which Honda says can lead to serious mechanical problems.1 On the 2018 Accord with the driver information interface:

  1. Set the power mode to ON.
  2. Press the home button.
  3. Roll the left selector wheel until the Maintenance Minder icon is displayed.
  4. Press the left selector wheel to go to the Maintenance Minder screen.
  5. Press the left selector wheel to enter the reset mode.
  6. Roll the left selector wheel to select a maintenance item to reset, or select All Due Items (or Cancel to stop).
  7. Press the left selector wheel to reset the selected item.
  8. Repeat from step 5 for any other items you want to reset.

Models with Display Audio can also reset it from the audio/information screen. Steps differ on other models — check your owner's manual.
